Yes, it’s true, crazy as it sounds, we decided to take our 5 month old daughter (now almost 6 months!) on a three week Midwest road trip so that we could introduce her to our extended families in Chicago and Detroit. With basically all of our most important material items (including Sophie the Giraffe and our brand new Mark III) in tow in our small Toyota Matrix we headed west on the last day of June. We first stopped at Frank Lloyd Wrights Falling Water in Pennsylvania, which was beyond impressive, then one night in Chicago before heading to Eagle River Wisconsin for some much needed R & R by Josh’s Aunt And Uncle’s Lake house. Before heading out on our trip, we made sure to leave a small amount of space in our trunk since we knew we were headed to some great antique shopping country. With our vintage aesthetic Photo Booth becoming more and more popular we have been wanting to invest in some more authentic costumes, and we struck gold at the Eagle River Antique Show! After our amazing hat find, we needed some cases for our display, and we found just that in Evanston, our next stop on our road trip. Now, we are in Detroit, and I know we can find some amazing goodies here as well, but alas, no more room, although there is always the roof…
Here we are modeling our finds:
